Ann Lindsay

Paraeducator at Firgrove Elementary in Puyallup School District

Ann Lindsay began working at Firgrove Elementary last year.  Her presence and hard work has made a difference in the lives of students and staff in the following ways:

  • Ann wears a smile everyday.
  • She loves her position and is always ready for the next challenge.
  • Ann is flexible; she can change directions at the drop of a hat. For example, an extra trained adult was needed to gather assessment information for reading, writing and math, Ann changed gears in her routine classroom work, was given necessary training to gather assessment information needed, and in a matter of minutes was working one-on-one with children in a professional manner.
  • Ann functions well in a large elementary, one of the largest in the State, wearing many, many hats: classroom para grades 1-4, early morning and playground duty and helping in the office during flex times.
  • Ann enjoys school and classroom activities: she has been a featured VIP (Very Important Person) in our classroom, enjoys reading to children, she helped children write letters to her Air Force hubby while he was in Germany, she stands for the Pledge of Allegiance each morning, attends school-wide activities: Math Night, Reading Night, PTA functions, etc.
  • Ann is from England and speaks with a wonderful, authentic English accent.
  • She respects and has high expectations for children and children positively respond to her.
  • Ann loves children and they are in nurturing hands when Ann is working with them.
