Susie Patch is the 2003 Paraeducator of the Year.

For the past 24 years Susie has made a difference in many lives in the Cle Elem Roslyn School District.

She maintains her outstanding teaching skills by attending every opportunity for growth, she works proactively as the union president to bring changes in union negotiations and classified employees rights. In addition, Susie is an excellent communicator with the preschoolers on the playground and with the Superintendent during meetings.

She has been instrumental in working with the district to help prepare paras for the NCLB Paraeducator Requirements. She works with local charities to make sure children in need have a happy holiday season and makes sure all of the students have winter coats and boots if they need them, which is very important during the snowy season. Susie understands the importance of a warm coat because it isn't uncommon to see her riding her snow mobile to school on a blustery day.
